The Yandex Start app has everything you need on one screen. Make any page your home page. Easy search, weather, and traffic right on your home page, plus translations of webpages, images, and videos online.
Choose your home page: Pick any page to start your day with online. It could be, for example, ya.ru — the Yandex Home Page — or your own site.
Everything you need on your home page: Weather forecasts for your area, traffic, and easy Yandex search with quick suggestions.
Translate pages and images: It's now easier than ever to translate almost any site, buy tickets, or find out a business' hours, even if you're in a country where you don't speak the language. Yandex Start translates entire sites, individual sentences, or even text in images from more than a hundred different languages.
Translate and dub videos: Find and watch videos from all over the world translated and voiced in Russian by Yandex's neural networks. Learn about travel, cars, gadgets, scientific discoveries, recipes, and everything else being talked about in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.
Avoid unwanted calls. Voice assistant Alice will set up a caller ID and get rid of unwanted conversations. Just say, “Alice, turn on the caller ID.”

I have to say, in terms of functionality the app has many features, some of which is will be useful to a user and most will be not useful. The most painful part of the app is the performance, or I guess lack of performance. I am using an S23+ and it still feels heavy and even manages to drop frames.

Bashar, we would like a bit more details. Please clarify at what points and at what actions does the app freezes? Does it close? Hmm, you can't turn off data collecting, can't choose language, can't choose appropriate country or region (other than the measly selection hard-coded), language is a useless mix of EN/RU. All in all, sadly not an app that can be recommended. The biggest issue is still the fact that you cannot turn off data collecting, which is a clear no-go. Don't know if this is possible if you're logged in, but that still wouldn't be good enough. Disappointing experience.

The app interface still displays in Russian only, but there is one feature of it that I found is very useful and the only one that displays in English. The feature is "Caller ID" which can detect and notify (in English) about any call with ads from almost any organization and it even can detect a call from scams too. I was going to reinstall OS on my phone just to get rid of this app (cause it was made unremoveable), but after I experienced the mentioned feature of the app I decided to keep it.

Thank you very much for your feedback! We are glad that you liked our Caller ID. Please update the app to the latest version. Then, to change the app language, open it → click on your profile icon → «App settings» → «App language» → turn off «Set automatically» → select language → restart the application using the «Restart» button that appears.

Some things have been fixed to make the app faster and better.
